Williams College Class of 1953 Bulletin Board

June 26, 2008

John Dighton writes:  I had a postcard from Dorie Friend which arrived after the reunion (but was mailed originally on Memorial Day and then readdressed correctly and thus just arrived the other day!)  saying that he would miss the 55th because as a continuing Trustee of the Eisenhower Fellowships he would be at a regional conference organized by the Latin American Fellows in Quro Preto, Brazil.. He added that he'd plan on making the 60th!

Bob Howard reports: A neighbor and friend of ours, who grew up next door to Ed and Carol Hyman and their family here in West Hartford, informed me that Ed had died and his obituary was in The Hartford Courant.  Here is that obituary notice:

Edward S. Hyman, of Bainton Rd., West Hartford, husband of Carol (Bacon) Hyman died Sunday, (March 23, 2008) at home. Born in Hartford, he was the son of the late George M. Hyman and Stella (Katz) Hyman. He was an attorney with Hyman & Cantor, and a member of the Hartford County and the Connecticut Bar Association. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven E. Hyman and his wife Tina of South Windsor, two daughters; Deborah Hyman of Seattle, WA, Sarah Baldwin and her husband Dennis of Clayton, NY, a sister Rita Silverman and her husband Arthur of Manchester Center, VT, seven grandchildren; Gregory, Shauna, Joanna, Morgan, Jacob, Eli, and Brenden.

George Hartnett sends this photo from the reunion:
