Christmas 2009 - Dr. Edward (Sonny) Dalland writes: "This year we all got a Christmas gift from God.  Yesterday, Abigail Elizabeth was born by C-section (she was breach) at 9:37 AM weighing in at 7 lbs 14 ozs in St Peter's Hospital, Albany, NY to Karen and Eric.  Nothing can beat that!" Here is a triple photo of son and daughter-in-law's little girl by herself,, nestled with one of the good doctor's favorite patients, and in grandpa's arms.

A report of Karen and Eric's wedding may be accessed on this website at: Durgee-Dalland Wedding.

December 27, 2009 - The photo says it all.
Congratulations to parents Jackie and Zach, but also to grandparents Joyce and Stu McGregor and Joy Kreider.  Photographic reports of the wedding and subsequent celebration can be found on this website at:
Kreider Wedding - First Listing of Four and Photos of February Wedding.

January 28, 2010 - Helen Hager Ouelette phoned this morning with the sad news that her husband Leo died January 6th following a long illness.  He was 86 years of age.  Helen and Leo have been living in Mansfield OH for many years.  Helen, a schoolteacher, was a member (and alto in the choir) of Christ United Methodist Church in Brooklyn.  Her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Carl, owned the deli at the corner of 41st Street and 7th Avenue in the Sunset Park corner of Brooklyn.  I officiated at the Ouelette's wedding at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Brooklyn, thirty-one years ago.  Leo, a French-Canadian by birth, was a champion horseshoer.  Having played a little at the game I was amazed at his report that he threw ringers 75% of the time.  Helen has been a frequent Emailer in my retirement and hers.  We send our sympathies to her.
