Leaf Peeping at Peak

Leaf Peeping at Peak

For only the second time in the last fifty years we managed to arrive at our Vermont cabin when the sun shone and the deciduous trees sported leaves of brilliant reds and golds. Most of you who find yourselves at this website will not be able to drive north and see for yourself what God and the waning sun hath wrought.  I invite you, therefore, to go with me on a virtual leaf peeping expedition on the hillside where we have spent more than four years of summer since mid-Twentieth Century.

Most of the photos look east.  They represent what we see from our main room windows, porch, and bedroom windows, a glorious prospect indeed.  The first photo shows our vantage point, Fort Howard, all but ready for a long winter's nap.
